A SoCal native, Callie has an easy going, vibrant and playful spirit. She made her passion of Yoga and Wellness, her “job” after many years in the corporate world. Callie teaches yoga for recovery and trauma at two local hospitals in addition to being an ordained minister, a Reiki Master, a health coach, a wife, a mom, and most recently a grandmother! I’m a Seal Beach local having lived in Old Town for almost 20 years. My father introduced me to yoga when I was a little girl, and I began seriously practicing yoga in 2005 to help get back into shape after having my second child. Instantly, I was attracted to the focus and discipline I developed from having a regular yoga practice. I believe asana or the physical practice is only part of the benefits of yoga and I also enjoy sharing the other benefits with my students. Yoga develops mindfulness, steadiness, and ease of breath – all qualities yogis can take off the mat and share with others.
When I’m not teaching or practicing yoga, I’m also an adjunct community college instructor. I enjoy reading, listening to podcasts, hiking in the Eastern Sierra Mountains, and taking long walks with my dogs and anyone I can find to join me. Dan, my husband of 28 years, and I have two children – a son in college and a daughter in high school.
